Google triumphs in free speech case

Google has successfully defended itself against a lawsuit filed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who claimed that YouTube infringed upon his free speech rights by removing videos deemed to contain vaccine misinformation. The case was dismissed by Judge Trina L. Thompson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California without allowing Kennedy to amend his complaint. The ruling followed a recent affirmation by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which upheld Thompson’s earlier decision to deny Kennedy’s request for a preliminary injunction.
